grown up taste

Me:  Parker, do you want a bite of my sandwich?

P: Is it beef?

Me: (?????) No, it's chicken.

P: I don't want any then, thank you.

I then offered the sandwich to Emmers who yells, "I wuf it!!" as she shoves it in her face.  These kids are soo funny!  Love them.

House Hunting...Or Not?

Well things have happened with the house so quickly I don't even really remember the timeline, but here's an idea.  A young couple came to see our house two weekends in a row with the whole family and stated how much they loved the house and would be in touch come Monday.  Late Monday night we got an offer lower than we needed, so the next morning we put together a counter offer with our realtor.  He suggested we start searching right away for something we would like to move into, so later that day we checked out some homes for our family.  While searching, we got a call that they would like to make another verbal counter offer to the one we previously made in the day.  Some other countering went on through phone calls for a while before we finally decided on an agreement that would be written up.  My parents were in town and able to tour a few possible homes with us (and trying to help keep my sanity).  You forget how stressful this home stuff is!  SHEESH! Anyways, the next day we were supposed to have the deal papers do sign by 8pm, buuuuuuuut, no call backs and no papers, and finally a text from their realtor that said they were backing out because they didn't think they could afford it. Bummer. Well, at least this is good practice.  It's maybe a little cliche, but they always say that what's meant to be will happen, and we weren't finding annything we were in love with yet, so until next time, here's to better eating and sleeping!  :)

August Already??

Where did that come from?  We have been so busy, the summer has been flying by!  Lots of fun had by all!

I just went by and picked up Parker's preschool packet...really??? Speaking of time going by so fast!  I can't believe this little dude is ready to go to school already!  I can't wait to see how he interacts with the other kids and the things he learns.  I have to admit that I'm sad I won't be able to be the one picking him up and dropping him off, but I guess I'll just send out the papparazzi troops to catch the moments for me on camera!  :)

Love that little guy.
